Delaware operates about 2 decades behind the rest of the country, especially Kent and Sussex. I'm all for that lower, slower living, but Delaware is flat, smells like chicken shit, and has absolutely nothing to do.

I've lived in DE my whole life, nearly 50 years, and have loved in all three counties. New Castle has the most to offer across the board - schools, jobs, restaurants and bars, and what little culture there's to be had in the state - with eastern Sussex being next up.

I’m from Delaware and I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve been to Wilmington because there’s literally no point, it has nothing to offer. Plus, the housing crisis in Delaware is awful, so rental costs are also overall more expensive than Philly for what you get.
